Stego and the Missing Starlight

Stego and the Missing Starlight

In the heart of a vast prehistoric forest, a young stegosaurus named Stego loved gazing at the stars every night. He would lie on a soft patch of moss, his plates glowing faintly in the moonlight, and count as many stars as he could before falling asleep. The twinkling lights above always made him feel safe and happy.

But one evening, as Stego wandered to his favorite stargazing spot, he noticed something strange—the sky was dark. Not a single star was shining. The vast blackness made him shiver. “Where have all the stars gone?” he wondered aloud.

Determined to solve the mystery, Stego set off on an adventure through the forest. His first stop was the tallest tree, where he met his friend Bronto, a wise old brontosaurus.

“Bronto, the stars are missing! Have you seen them?” Stego asked, his voice trembling.

Bronto craned his long neck toward the sky and sighed. “I’ve noticed it too, little one. Perhaps the clouds are hiding them?”

Stego shook his head. “The clouds aren’t glowing like they usually do when they block the stars. It’s something else.”

Together, they decided to seek help from Raptor, the fastest dinosaur in the forest. Raptor zipped through the bushes when they called for her. “What’s going on?” she asked, tilting her head.

“The stars are missing!” Stego exclaimed.

Raptor’s eyes sparkled with curiosity. “I heard strange noises coming from the mountains last night. Maybe we should check there.”

The three friends journeyed to the rocky mountains. As they climbed, they saw a faint glow at the peak. When they reached the top, they discovered a giant, shimmering comet resting in a crater. Its light was so bright that it seemed to have swallowed all the starlight.

“The comet must be why the stars are gone,” Bronto said.

“But how do we fix it?” Stego asked, feeling small beside the glowing rock.

Stego had an idea. Using his glowing plates, he reflected the comet’s light into the sky. With Bronto and Raptor’s help, they angled the light just right, sending sparkles across the heavens. Slowly, the stars began to twinkle back to life.

The forest lit up with soft, magical light once again. The dinosaurs cheered, and Stego felt proud of their teamwork.

From that night on, Stego knew that even the darkest nights could be filled with light if friends worked together.
