Vincent was not like the other vampires. While they flew gracefully through the night, performing acrobatic maneuvers, Vincent had a tendency to trip over his own cape. It had become a well-known sight in the monster world to see Vincent falling flat from the sky or stumbling into a group of zombies.
“Oh, Vincent,” his friend Victor sighed one day. “Why don’t you get that cape adjusted?”
Vincent thought about it and decided to visit the town tailor. The tailor was an old witch named Hilda, known for her magical skills with needle and thread.
“I need help,” Vincent said as he walked into her shop. “My cape is way too long, and I keep falling.”
Hilda measured him up and down with a crooked smile. “I think I have the perfect solution,” she said and disappeared into the back room.
After a few minutes, she returned with a cape that sparkled in the moonlight. “Try this one,” she said.
Vincent put on the cape and immediately felt a difference. It was light, airy, and perfectly fitted to him. He tried flying around the shop, and for the first time in his life, he didn’t trip.
“It’s perfect!” he exclaimed. “How can I ever thank you?”
Hilda laughed. “Just make sure to tell everyone where you got it from,” she said with a wink.
From that day on, Vincent was known as the most elegant vampire in town. He flew through the night with ease and grace, and everyone was impressed with his new cape. But deep down, Vincent knew that it wasn’t the cape that made the difference, but the confidence it gave him.
And so Vincent, the clumsy vampire, became Vincent, the star of the night.
