In a quiet forest, Lumi the firefly felt different from the others. While her friends zipped through the trees, glowing brightly, Lumi’s light was faint. “Why can’t I shine like them?” she wondered, hiding behind a leaf.
One night, Lumi heard soft cries near the edge of the forest. It was a baby owl, lost and scared in the dark. “Don’t worry,” Lumi said gently. “I’ll help you.”
With her tiny glow, Lumi guided the owl through the trees. Though her light wasn’t strong, it was enough to show the way. When they reached the owl’s nest, its mother hooted in relief and thanked Lumi.
As the baby owl snuggled into its nest, Lumi’s light began to grow brighter. Her heart swelled with joy as she realized something important—her light didn’t need to be the brightest; it just needed to help someone.
The other fireflies cheered as Lumi returned. From that night on, Lumi shone confidently, knowing her light had a purpose.
