Once upon a time, there lived an old witch in a small town. She didn’t like children, and all the children were afraid of her. So one day, the witch decided to build a tall, long wall outside her home.
She wrote in big, bold letters: “NO CHILDREN ALLOWED!”
One day, while four children were playing on the playground, their ball suddenly flew over the fence and landed in the witch’s yard. They were scared to go in. But then they decided to be brave and go together.
When they reached the wall, they read the words: “NO CHILDREN ALLOWED!”
The children thought for a moment and said, “Let’s paint the wall!” So they took out their colors and started to draw and paint.
“I’ll draw the sky. I’ll draw a mountain. And I’ll draw a flying bird,” said the little boy to his friends.
A little girl said, “I’ll draw the sea. I’ll draw an island. And I’ll draw a swimming fish.”
Another girl said, “I want to draw the forest.”
Another boy added, “I’ll draw flowers. And I’ll draw a running rabbit.”
Together they made a beautiful painting on the wall.
Just then, the old witch came out and shouted, “Oh! My wall! What are you doing?”
The children were very scared. But when the witch looked at the wall, she smiled and said, “Wow! It’s wonderful!”
The old witch’s heart changed. She said happily, “WELCOME CHILDREN!”
She gave them a magical ride on her broom, and from that day on, the scary old witch became the kind old witch.
