On a sunny day on a cozy farm, there lived a little chicken named Clara. Clara was not like the other chickens. While they were happy scratching the ground and looking for small insects to eat, Clara dreamed of something more. She dreamed of flying.
Every day, she watched the birds soar high in the sky and thought, “Why can’t I do that too?” So she decided to try. First, she jumped from a small stone, but quickly landed back on the ground. Then she tried jumping from the top of the haystack, but once again, it did not work.
The other animals on the farm began to notice Clara’s attempts.
“Chickens can’t fly, Clara,” said Greta the Goose.
“You are made to scratch the ground, not to float in the air,” laughed Henry the Rooster.
But Clara did not give up. She thought and thought, and then she had an idea. If she could not fly with wings, she would find another way. Clara began collecting materials from all around the farm. Old cloth pieces, wooden sticks, and bits of rope. After many days of hard work, she had created something amazing. A colorful hot air balloon.
The other animals were amazed.
“What on earth is that?” asked Karl the Rabbit.
But Clara had no time to explain. She lit the fire under the balloon, and soon she began to rise into the air.
High above the farm, Clara floated gently in her hot air balloon. She saw the world from a whole new perspective and felt freer than ever before. The other animals could only watch in wonder and admiration.
When Clara finally landed, she was greeted with cheers and applause. Even though she could not fly like a bird, she had found her own way to touch the clouds.
Moral: Where there is a will, there is a way. And sometimes, that way can be even more wonderful than you ever imagined.
