Are You My Mother

A T-Rex mother went outside to find food for the winter. To take care of her eggs, she hid them under a big pile of leaves in the nest.

After some time, one of the eggs began to move. First, there was a little crack, then a rattling sound, and suddenly it broke.

Pop! A little T-Rex head came out of the egg. The little dinosaur shook himself to get the last bits of eggshell off his body. But as he moved, he lost his balance and fell out of the nest.

“Ouch!” he shouted as he landed on the dirty ground with a thump. He got up and tried to wipe the mud off his body.

“Where am I?” he asked himself. “I don’t know where my mother is.”

The little T-Rex started walking around. He came to the edge of a cliff. Far away, he saw a big dinosaur flying through the air.

“Mom! I’m your son! Mom, wait for me!” he shouted.

The big dinosaur flew over to him and said kindly:

“I’m not your mother. I have wings, and you don’t. I’m a Pteranodon. But I’ll tell your mother you’re looking for her if I see her.”

Then the Pteranodon flew away again.

The little T-Rex kept searching. He came to a big grassy field where two dinosaurs were eating grass – one big and one small. He ran over and shouted:

“Mom! Brother! I’m back!”

The big dinosaur looked up and said:

“I’m not your mother. Look how long my neck is – I’m a Brachiosaurus.”

The little T-Rex touched his own neck and tried to look down at it. His neck was much shorter. Disappointed, he moved on.

He searched and searched. After several days, he became tired and hungry. He went to a lake to rest. There he saw a group of dinosaurs playing in the water. He became happy and shouted:

“Mom! I’m your son! I’m here!”

One of the dinosaurs walked over to him and said:

“I’m not your mother – look at my back. I’m a Spinosaurus. But you look hungry. Come with me and have some food.”

The little T-Rex was a bit disappointed, but he was very hungry, so he accepted the food from the Spinosaurus mother.

While he was eating, he suddenly heard a roaring sound in the distance. He stopped eating and listened carefully.

The roar sounded familiar.

Then a big dinosaur appeared from the bushes. She had sharp teeth, big eyes, a strong tail, and small arms. She walked straight over to the little T-Rex and said:

“My son! I finally found you!”

The little T-Rex dropped the food and ran to her.

“Mom! I’m here! I’m your son!”
