Pokémon Bedtime Stories

Snorlax and the Very Long Nap

Everyone in the forest knew Snorlax loved to sleep. But one evening, Snorlax couldn’t. The crickets were too loud, the moon was too bright and his tummy rumbled. Pikachu found him sitting under a big oak tree, wide awake and grumpy.

“Maybe you need a bedtime routine, like Ash has,” said Pikachu. So Pikachu brought him a warm berry to eat. Jigglypuff came to sing a soft lullaby. Bulbasaur gently rocked a leaf like a fan to cool him down.

Snorlax’s eyes grew heavy. He yawned the biggest yawn the forest had ever heard – and then he was snoring softly. The friends tiptoed home. “Goodnight, Snorlax,” whispered Pikachu. “Pika… pi.” And soon Pikachu was fast asleep too.

Minions Bedtime Stories

The Minion Who Counted Bananas

It was bedtime in the Minion bunkhouse, but little Bob could not sleep. “Bello?” he whispered into the dark. Nobody answered – everyone was snoring.

So Bob tried counting sheep. But the sheep in his head kept turning into bananas. One banana. Two bananas. Three bananas… Bob giggled. Four bananas. Five bananas. A banana in pyjamas! Bob giggled so much his goggles fogged up.

By banana number twenty, Bob’s giggles had become tiny yawns. By banana number thirty, his eyes were closed. And by banana number forty, Bob was dreaming of a whole sky full of golden bananas, floating by like friendly clouds. “Poopaye,” he mumbled, and snuggled his teddy bear tight.

SpongeBob Bedtime Stories

SpongeBob and the Sleepy Sea

Night came to Bikini Bottom, and the sea turned dark and quiet. SpongeBob had brushed his teeth, fed Gary and put on his pyjamas – but he was far too excited about tomorrow’s work at the Krusty Krab to sleep.

“Meow,” said Gary, curling up on the end of the bed. SpongeBob looked out of his pineapple window. The jellyfish were floating home, glowing softly like little lanterns. Patrick’s rock was already closed. Even Squidward’s lights were out.

SpongeBob watched the glowing jellyfish drift by – one, then another, then another, slow and gentle. His eyelids grew heavy. “Goodnight, Bikini Bottom,” he whispered. “Goodnight, Gary.” And the whole sea, it seemed, whispered goodnight back.

Minnie Mouse Bedtime Stories

Minnie’s Bow for the Moon

Minnie Mouse was sewing a new polka-dot bow when she noticed the moon outside her window. It looked a little bare tonight, just a thin silver smile in the sky.

“Everyone looks happier with a bow,” Minnie said. So she sewed the tiniest, sparkliest bow she could make and climbed onto her rooftop. She held it up high – but of course, the moon was much too far away.

Daisy came out to see what she was doing. Minnie sighed. “I wanted to give the moon a present.” Daisy smiled. “Maybe the moon would like to keep watch over it instead.” So Minnie tied the little bow to her bedpost, right where the moonlight fell. And all night long, the moon shone down on it, as if it was smiling just for her.
