Indiana Jonas and the Missing Golden Biscuit

Indiana Jonas wasn’t like the other kids on the street. They collected marbles and Pokémon cards, but Jonas? He collected mysteries.

And today… oh yes, today he found the best mystery ever!

It all began up in Grandpa’s attic. Jonas was actually looking for something else – his missing sock – but instead he found a dusty box with a strange old map inside. On the map it said:

“Follow the crumbs and find the Legendary Golden Biscuit. But beware! The Biscuit’s Guardian is never far away…”

Jonas gasped.

“A golden biscuit? Like… a BISCUIT made of GOLD?”

He grabbed his backpack, his favorite hat, and his trusty pet – a very chubby hamster named Baron Burp – and off they went on the hunt.

The first clue led Jonas through the kitchen. There were crumbs on the floor – and they led straight to the fridge.

Jonas opened the door slowly. CREEEEAAAK…

Inside was only half a cucumber and something that might once have been cheese. But on the shelf also sat… a crumpled yellow lid from an old biscuit tin!

“We’re on the right track, Baron Burp,” said Jonas, waving his hat dramatically. Baron Burp responded by burping. Loudly.

The trail led them out into the garden, through the flowerbed and under the swing set. And there – in the middle of the sandbox – was a small biscuit tin. It sparkled in the sunlight. Jonas carefully lifted the lid…

Inside was… A BISCUIT!

But not an ordinary one. It was golden-colored, sprinkled with stardust, and made a tiny sound that went: “crunch-crunch.”

Jonas reached for it – but suddenly, a small cat in a suit of biscuit-dough armor leapt out!

“HISSS! I am the Guardian of the Biscuit!” the cat screeched dramatically. “Only the true Biscuit-Master may claim the Golden Biscuit!”

Jonas thought quickly. “If I can make you laugh, can I have the biscuit?”

The cat thought. “Hmm… deal.”

So Jonas took his sock (which still smelled like Thursday feet) and put it on his head like a hat. He balanced on a garden rake while Baron Burp performed an epic hamster wheel trick, running round and round – and then let out another heroic fart.

The cat stared. Its mouth began to twitch.

And then – “MEEEEOHAHAHA!” – it burst out laughing and rolled around in the sand.

“A deal is a deal,” the cat giggled and handed over the biscuit.

Indiana Jonas held the Golden Biscuit up to the light. “Another mystery solved!”

But before he could take a bite, his little sister appeared.

“Hi Jonas. Can I have a bite?”

Jonas looked at the biscuit. Then at his sister. Then at Baron Burp, who had already eaten half of it.

“Okay,” he said. “But only if you can fart like him.”

She smiled. “Easy.”

BRRRUUUUMMMM

Jonas and Baron Burp stared. Even the cat clapped.

“You are hereby declared an honorary adventurer,” said Jonas.

And so they shared the Golden Biscuit – which turned out to be just an old vanilla cookie with glitter – but the taste? It tasted like adventure.
