Santa Claus Who Became Allergic to Snow

At the North Pole, the Christmas spirit was as always at its highest. The elves bustled back and forth in the workshop, the reindeer stretched in the snow, and Santa walked around with his list to make sure everything was ready for the big night. But just as he was about to check the sleigh, something strange happened.

“Achoo… ACHOOO!” Santa sneezed so violently that the snow on his boots flew in every direction. He wiped his nose and shook his head. “What on earth was that?”

Kitchen Elf Crunch, who was passing by with a pot of porridge, stopped. “Are you coming down with a cold, Santa?” he asked worriedly.

“No, no,” Santa replied, waving him off. “I’m fine. Just a bit of dust or something.”

But as the day went on, it got worse. Every time Santa stepped outside, he started to sneeze uncontrollably. “ACHOO! ACHOO! ACHOOOOO!” His nose grew redder and redder, and his eyes began to water.

It did not take long before the elves noticed a pattern. “It is every time he goes out into the snow,” said Littlebrick. “Maybe he is allergic to snow?”

“Allergic to snow?!” exclaimed Oldnock, the oldest elf, throwing up his arms. “We live at the North Pole! That is impossible!”

But there was no way around it. Every time Santa came near snow, he began to sneeze so violently that it shook the entire workshop.

“How am I supposed to deliver the presents if I cannot be outside?” Santa asked desperately. “I cannot sneeze my way across rooftops, the children will wake up!”

The elves gathered to find a solution. Many suggestions came up.

“We could put plastic over the snow!” suggested Littlebrick. “Then he will not touch it.”

“And how exactly are we meant to cover the whole North Pole in plastic?” asked Oldnock sceptically.

“We could build a snow-free tunnel from the house to every home!” suggested another elf.

“That would take months,” said Kitchen Elf Crunch. “We have only one night!”

The atmosphere grew more and more tense, until one elf suddenly shouted, “What if we wrap Santa up? If the snow cannot touch him, he might be fine!”

The elves got to work immediately. They sewed a large suit for Santa, made of waterproof fabric and lined with Christmas glitter. The suit covered him from head to toe, and there was a big visor in front so he could see.

When Santa tried on the suit, he could not help laughing. “I look like a giant present!”

“But you are not sneezing!” Littlebrick cried excitedly.

On Christmas Eve itself, Santa climbed into the sleigh wearing his new suit. The reindeer snickered a little when they saw him, but they were ready to fly. The journey went well at first, no sneezing at all.

But when he had to sneak into the first house, a problem arose. The suit made a loud squeaking noise every time he moved. “Sssrrk, sssrrk,” it went as he walked across the floor.

“Is someone there?” a voice called from the bedroom.

Santa hurried back to the sleigh and sighed. “I cannot do it like this. I will wake the whole world.”

When he reached the next house, he found a solution. He took a blanket from the sofa and draped it over himself. Now he could move silently and avoid the snow at the same time.

It turned out to be a brilliant idea. At each stop, he used blankets, curtains, and even a large tablecloth from a kitchen table to protect himself while delivering the presents. No one noticed him, and no snow touched him.

When the night was over and all the gifts had been delivered, Santa returned to the North Pole. The elves waited eagerly for him.

“It worked!” Santa shouted with a big grin. “Christmas was saved, and I did not sneeze a single time.”

The elves burst into cheers, and Littlebrick said proudly, “Next year we will make an even better suit, maybe one without squeaking.”

And that is how Santa learned that even a snow allergy cannot stop the magic of Christmas when you have inventive elves and a good bit of Christmas humour.
