Oscar was a very small boy with a very BIG secret. Every time he ate ice cream, something amazing happened. He got a red cape, his shoes turned into blue boots, and he put on a yellow mask over his eyes. “I am not Oscar anymore!” he shouted. “I am SUPER-OSCAR!”
Super-Oscar could fly all the way to the Moon and back in three minutes. He could lift houses with one finger, and he had X-ray vision. Every night he turned back into Oscar until he ate ice cream again the next time.
One day after a delicious portion of strawberry ice cream, Super-Oscar was fooling around on the Moon. Suddenly, a spaceship WHIZZED by out of control! The astronauts were scared, but Super-Oscar had it under control. He zoomed after the spaceship and safely guided it back to Earth.
“Our hero!” the astronauts cheered. “How can we ever thank you, Super-Oscar?”
“Just give me some ice cream!” Super-Oscar replied with a smile.
