The Snowman Harry

Five days before Christmas Eve, Santa was training in his North Pole fitness center, practicing how to slide down chimneys without getting stuck. Suddenly, one of his reindeer, Donder, came rushing in. He looked worried and close to tears.

“Santa! Harry the snowman has run away! I’m panicking!” Donder cried.
“Calm down, Donder. There’s no need to worry. I’ll find Harry myself and bring him home safely,” Santa said kindly. He sent Donder off to alert the elves and hurried back to his sleigh.

Santa flew high into the sky to look for Harry. As he glanced down, he spotted the snowman walking alone through the snowy fields, heading far away from the village.
“Harry! Can you hear me?” Santa called.
He landed beside him, but Harry kept walking, refusing to look up.

“Harry, hop in! Come on,” Santa urged.
But Harry continued to trudge forward.

Santa called again, more gently this time: “Harry, please listen. I want to talk to you.”
Harry finally stopped and turned around. His eyes were filled with tears.

“Harry,” Santa said softly, “everyone has moments where they feel like running away. But doing it never leads to the answers you’re looking for.”

Harry’s voice cracked as he spoke.
“Why should I stay? No one ever listens to me. No one has time for me. I’m just a useless snowman. Nobody loves me!”

Santa stepped forward and wrapped his arms around him.
“Harry, my boy,” he said warmly, “you are far from useless. Wipe your eyes, wipe your face. Come with me – I want to show you how important you truly are.”

Harry glanced over at Rudolph, who stood with his head lowered sadly.
“Rudolph, my boy, take us up above the clouds,” Santa commanded. “Let’s show Harry his worth.”

Rudolph smiled and nodded.

As they traveled around the world, Santa showed Harry millions of snowmen – each built by children laughing and playing with their families.
“Look, Harry,” Santa explained. “Snowmen bring people together. Imagine Christmas without a single snowman. It wouldn’t feel right at all. And imagine our family without you.”

Slowly, Harry began to smile.

“Rudolph, take us home!” Santa said.

As they approached the North Pole, the mood in the sleigh was bright and cheerful. Looking down, they saw huge letters written in the snow:

“WELCOME HOME, HARRY! WE LOVE YOU!”

All the elves, reindeer, and friends from Santa’s village were gathered below, waiting to welcome him back. Harry’s heart filled with joy.

Everyone clapped for Santa.
“Harry nearly made a big mistake by running away,” Santa said. “But the important thing is this: when you feel sad or alone, you must talk to someone who cares.”

Harry nodded gratefully. He was finally home.
